Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Human Research and Social Science Studies (IJHRSSS), accessible at ijhrsss.com, stands as a bastion of academic integrity, fiercely committed to fostering original scholarship and ethical publishing. Plagiarism, in all its forms, is an affront to the pursuit of knowledge and is unequivocally prohibited. For inquiries, contact our editorial team at editorijhrsss@ijhrsss.com.

Our Commitment to Originality

IJHRSSS champions the sanctity of intellectual property, celebrating the innovative spirit of researchers worldwide. We uphold the highest standards of authenticity, ensuring every published work reflects true scholarship. To safeguard this commitment, all submitted manuscripts are rigorously screened using advanced plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality and ethical compliance.

Defining Plagiarism

Plagiarism undermines the foundation of academic trust. IJHRSSS recognizes the following forms of plagiarism:

Full Plagiarism: Reproducing previously published content—text, ideas, or data—without alteration or proper attribution, presenting it as one’s own.

Partial Plagiarism: Rephrasing or blending content from multiple sources without adequate citation, creating a misleading impression of originality.

Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant portions of one’s own previously published work without proper acknowledgment, including republication or minimal modification of prior manuscripts.

Consequences of Plagiarism

IJHRSSS takes a resolute stance against plagiarism to protect the integrity of scholarship and the rights of original authors. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content face severe consequences, including:

During Submission

Immediate Rejection: Manuscripts detected with plagiarism during the review process are rejected outright, with no consideration for publication.

Author Notification: Authors are informed of the findings and provided an opportunity to clarify within two weeks.

Post-Publication

If plagiarism is identified after publication, IJHRSSS initiates a thorough investigation led by the Editor-in-Chief, potentially involving a dedicated Ethics Review Committee (ERC). Upon confirmation of plagiarism beyond acceptable limits, the following actions may be taken:

Institutional Notification: The journal will contact the author’s affiliated institution (e.g., Dean, Director, or Vice Chancellor) and any relevant funding agencies to report the misconduct.

Public Statement: A notice of plagiarism will be linked bidirectionally to the original article, clearly identifying the violation and referencing the plagiarized material.

Article Marking: The published PDF will be stamped with “Plagiarized Manuscript” on each page.

Retraction: Depending on the extent of plagiarism, the article may be formally retracted from the journal and all associated platforms.

Author Sanctions: Consequences may include disabling the author’s account, rejecting future submissions for a period (e.g., 3, 5, or 10 years), or a permanent ban from IJHRSSS.

Public Disclosure: The journal reserves the right to list offending authors and their contact details on ijhrsss.com to maintain transparency.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting to IJHRSSS are expected to uphold ethical standards by:

Submitting original, unpublished work free from plagiarism.

Properly citing all sources, including their own prior work, to avoid self-plagiarism.

Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest or reused content during submission.

Responding promptly to plagiarism inquiries within the stipulated two-week period.

Investigative Process

Upon suspicion of plagiarism, IJHRSSS follows a structured process:

Initial Screening: All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software.

Author Inquiry: Suspected authors are contacted to provide an explanation within two weeks.

Ethics Review Committee (ERC): If needed, an ERC is constituted to investigate further, ensuring impartiality and thoroughness.

Resolution: Based on findings, the journal implements appropriate actions, from rejection to retraction and institutional notification.

Our Pledge

IJHRSSS is dedicated to nurturing a culture of integrity, innovation, and respect for intellectual contributions. We stand by original authors and their work, regardless of the publisher, and take decisive action to address violations. By fostering ethical scholarship, we aim to inspire trust and advance the global pursuit of knowledge in human research and social sciences.
