Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Human Research and Social Science Studies (IJHRSSS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of scholarly excellence through a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process. Our double-blind peer review ensures impartial evaluation, fostering trust and quality in the research we publish in human and social sciences. Below, we outline the steps of our peer review process to provide clarity and support for authors, reviewers, and readers.
Our Commitment to Rigorous Peer Review
IJHRSSS employs a double-blind peer review model, where both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure unbiased assessment. Our process is designed to evaluate manuscripts for originality, methodological rigor, scholarly significance, and alignment with our mission to advance open-access research.
Peer Review Process
Submission Receipt:
Manuscripts are submitted via the IJHRSSS Submission Hub or emailed to editorijhrsss@ijhrsss.com, adhering to our Author Blueprint.
Authors receive an acknowledgment within 48 hours, confirming receipt and initial compliance check.
Initial Editorial Assessment:
The editorial team reviews the manuscript for scope, originality, and adherence to IJHRSSS’s ethical and reproducibility standards.
Manuscripts not meeting basic requirements may be returned for revision or declined at this stage.
Reviewer Assignment:
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent, subject-matter experts from our global reviewer pool.
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and absence of conflicts of interest, ensuring impartiality.
Double-Blind Review:
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s quality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field.
Reviews typically take 2–4 weeks, depending on the manuscript’s complexity and reviewer availability.
Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommend one of the following: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
Editorial Decision:
The editorial board synthesizes reviewer feedback to make a final decision.
Authors receive detailed feedback, including reviewer comments, and guidance for any required revisions.
Revised manuscripts may undergo additional review to ensure all concerns are addressed.
Final Approval and Publication:
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, formatting, and assignment of a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
Authors review proofs to ensure accuracy before publication under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license.
Publication fees, covering DOI, e-certificates, indexing, and archiving, are communicated at this stage (see our Publication Fees page).
Ethical Standards
Confidentiality: Reviewers and editors maintain strict confidentiality throughout the process.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers and editors must disclose any potential conflicts and recuse themselves if necessary.
Fairness: IJHRSSS adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to resolve disputes or ethical concerns.
