Manuscript Types

IJHRSSS accepts a variety of manuscript types, each with specific requirements:

Research Articles: 4,000–10,000 words, 15–25 references. Original studies advancing knowledge in social sciences.

Review Articles: 2,000–3,500 words for standard reviews, no limit for invited reviews, 20–30 references. Synthesize existing literature with critical insights.

Short Communications: Up to 1,500 words, 5–10 references, max 3 figures/tables. Brief reports on novel findings or methodologies.

Letters to the Editor: Up to 800 words, 3–5 references. Commentaries or responses to published articles (see detailed guidelines on the Submission Portal).

Case Studies: Up to 2,500 words, 10–15 references. Accepted only if providing unique perspectives or significant contributions to the field.

Criteria for Publication

Manuscripts submitted to IJHRSSS must:

Be grounded in a clear hypothesis or research question, supported by robust methodology and statistically sound results leading to compelling conclusions.

Be written in clear, concise, and professional English (British or American spelling, used consistently).

Offer novel, relevant, and impactful contributions to the global social science community.

Adhere to ethical standards, including proper citation of sources and compliance with research ethics (e.g., informed consent, IRB approval).

Manuscript Structure

Organize your manuscript with the following sections, each starting on a new page:

Title Page:

Title (≤50 characters, or include a short title for longer ones).

Full author names, affiliations, and institutional addresses.

Corresponding author’s contact details (name, email, phone, optional fax).

Funding information or grants, if applicable.

Optional 4–6 keywords for indexing.

Abstract:

150–250 words, single paragraph, no subheadings or abbreviations.

Summarize the study’s purpose, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions.

Main Text:

Introduction (Present Tense): Outline the research problem, review relevant literature, and justify the study’s purpose and methodology.

Materials and Methods (Past Tense): Describe procedures, materials, and statistical methods in detail; avoid including results.

Results (Past Tense): Present findings clearly, using tables/figures sparingly; exclude methodological details.

Discussion (Present Tense): Interpret results, compare with prior work, highlight implications, and state conclusions.

Conclusion (Present Tense): Summarize key findings and their significance.

Acknowledgments (Optional): Recognize funding, contributions, or support.

References: Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, as specified in our Formatting Guide).

Tables and Figure Captions: List tables and captions separately; place captions below figures and above tables.

Note: For double-blind peer review, exclude all identifying details (e.g., author names, affiliations) from the main manuscript. Include these only in the title page or cover letter.

Formatting Guidelines

Adhere to the following standards to ensure consistency:

Font: Times New Roman or Arial, 12pt.

Line Spacing: Double-spaced throughout.

Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.

File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or compatible format; PDF accepted for initial submission.

Page Numbers: Include in the bottom-right corner.

Word Count: Adhere to the specified limits for your manuscript type.

Section-Specific Guidance

Introduction: Clearly articulate the research problem, provide a concise literature review, and explain the study’s rationale and objectives.

Materials and Methods: Detail all procedures, materials (using generic names), and statistical methods (e.g., specify tests, significance levels like t(28) = 2.15, p < 0.05). Include ethical approvals, if applicable.

Results: Present findings logically, using tables/figures only when necessary. Avoid repeating data in text and visuals.

Discussion: Analyze results, address limitations, compare with existing literature, and highlight broader implications.

Figures and Tables:

Ensure high-quality visuals (.jpg, .png, or .tiff, minimum 300 dpi).

Place captions below figures and above tables; list all captions separately.

Cite figures/tables in the text (e.g., “See Figure 1”).

Statistical Analysis: Clearly report statistical tests, descriptive statistics, degrees of freedom, and significance levels (e.g., p < 0.05).

Double-Blind Peer Review

To ensure impartial review:

Remove all identifying information from the main manuscript (e.g., author names, affiliations, or self-references).

Refer to your own work in the third person (e.g., “Smith (2020) found…” instead of “We found…”).

Include author details only in the title page or cover letter.

Submission Process

Submissions are accepted exclusively through our online portal:

Access the Portal: Visit the IJHRSSS Submission Portal.

Upload Files: Submit the manuscript (anonymized), title page, arquía

System: page, and any supplementary files (e.g., figures, datasets) as separate files. Optionally, include a cover letter explaining the manuscript’s significance and confirming adherence to guidelines. 3. Confirmation: Receive an email acknowledgment upon submission.

Additional Notes

Ethical Compliance: Ensure compliance with ethical standards (e.g., IRB approval, informed consent) and declare any conflicts of interest.

Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original and will be screened for plagiarism. See our Plagiarism Policy.
